Escapade Music Festival 2020 Locks In Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, & More

How does a festival top their 10th-anniversary edition? Make their next one a star-studded event. This year, Canada’s Escapade Music Festival has booked some of the hottest artists in the EDM scene today. From Grammy winners to top-ranking DJs, this year’s lineup proves that this festival is not one to miss.  For 2020, Escapade booked the likes of Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, and Kaskade as their main headliners. Each of these premier acts will dominate the main stage during the two-day festival this summer. Other artists who will play at the festival also include Don Diablo, Andrew Bayer, Chris Lake, and Julian Jordan, among many others. And for more fun, they also enlisted Seven Lions and Kill The Noise for a B2B performance. As part of Ophelia Records, both these artists will headline the label’s special stage alongside their fellow label-mates. Particularly Seven Lions, who serves as Ophelia Records’ label head.

Still, the festival hopes to draw in more crowds than ever before with the inclusion of DJs who’ve ranked first in many “Best of EDM” lists. DJ Mag‘s top-ranking DJ of 2018, Martin Garrix, will surely increase the fanfare surrounding Escapade this year. In fact, the year already looks bright for the young Dutch producer. For one thing, he has a lot of gigs to look forward to. They include his stints at Tomorrowland Winter, Ultra Miami, Creamfields, and many more. And this weekend. he’ll even host his own Super Bowl rave for the first time. This all goes to show just how in-demand the 23-year-old DJ really is.  Another crowd favorite, The Chainsmokers, will likely not get outshined in this event either. Having become veterans in the game, they’ve come to hold their own in festivals and their own solo events. Just recently, they hit it out of the park with their intimately exclusive concert in Miami. According to Billboard.com, the SiriusXM and Pandora-sponsored event pumped up the crowd just in time for Super Bowl weekend. And while the duo didn’t go for their usual circus-like stunts and bombastic visuals, the energy still resembled that of their arena shows. Most probably, apart from seeing the Grammy-winning EDM duo, the best part about it for the attendees was that it was free.

Not to be left behind, Kaskade also has his own Super Bowl gig this weekend. On Saturday, February 1, 2020, on the day before the big game, the House music star will join the likes of Diplo, Carnage, and Rick Ross at “Gronk Beach”. Three-time Super Bowl champion and former NFL superstar Rob Gronkowski will host this pre-game party for football fans and EDM-lovers alike. But beyond that, the American DJ also has a new track to share, one he’ll hopefully play at both gigs. He recently collaborated with Swedish trio BROHUG to release a new party anthem, “1990”. As with the title alone, the track harkens back to EDM of the 1990s, captured with a fresh new take by these modern artists.
