With so many EDM festivals left and right, the Carribean won’t allow themselves to get overshadowed this 2020. One of their biggest events, the Vujaday Festival, just unveiled their lineup for this year. And it’s chockful of EDM heavyweights enough to keep the party going for all-weekend-long. This year, the Vujaday Festival locked in the likes of Diplo, Nicole Moudaber, DJ Holographic, Dubfire, and more. They will descend on the lovely island of Barbados, which has been the festival’s home since their first edition back in 2018. Some might get to amp up the party on The Jolly Roger, that famous yacht that often houses some of the best parties in the Carribean. This includes, of course, sets from the exciting headliners of Vujaday. But if boat parties are not to some of the attendees’ liking, they can still party hard with these superstar producers in the country’s oldest premier beach club, Harbour Lights.
Ultimately, Vujaday booked perhaps some of the most in-demand DJs of the moment. Arguably, Diplo is the most famous among this year’s headliners. Not only has he headlined some of the biggest festivals in the world, but he’s had countless collaborations with some of the biggest names in music. And in fact, it’s these team-ups that sometimes get his name into the headlines as well. Just recently, Sia revealed that she offered Diplo ‘no-strings sex‘ if he was ever in the mood. On his part, the DJ declined to reveal if he ever took up her offer. But he did say that the singer’s brazen move didn’t ruin their professional (and probably personal too) relationship. Meanwhile, Nicole Moudaber is starting 2020 strong with a long list of festival gigs. Apart from Vujaday, she will play during Phase 2 of this year’s Ultra Music Festival, as well as the first-ever edition of The BPM Festival in Costa Rica. Fans already know she’ll kill it here as she has in other past festivals. Just last year, she made headlines across the EDM scene when she played, not B2B, but B3B with Paco Osuna and Dubfire during Escape: Psycho Circus 2019. “Playing with Dubfire and Paco is so much fun because we all have similar setups so technically we are able to vibe naturally. Layering different musical aspects come easy for us and show off our individual creativity.” she shared about the performance.
Incidentally, Moudaber will reunite with Osuna and Dubfire for another B3B performance at Ultra Miami later this year too. And here at Vujaday, both Moudaber and Dubfire will also co-headline the festival. Though this time, they will play separate sets throughout the event. But while they won’t play B2B together, their reunion will likely still incite a lot of excitement among their fans. And fans shouldn’t lose hope. As with any other festival, one never knows what might happen until it happens. The Vujaday Festival will run from April 1 to 5, 2020. What do you think of the lineup?
