If there’s still any doubt about their 2020 edition, Ultra Music Festival just crushed them. The festival just released their Phase 2 lineup and it’s just as exciting! Their announcement comes after multiple sources confirmed that they have signed contracts with Miami city to hold the festival at Bayfront Park. It’s all about the timing. They announced the new lineup around the same time they were facing some major controversies. Just recently, news of the purported lack of contracts between the Ultra Music Festival and Miami resurfaced. The Miami Herald reported that, despite having reached an agreement last year, the festival had yet to seal the deal with the city. Consequently, a coalition of Miami residents then filed a lawsuit against Miami. They argued that the deal they reached with Ultra doesn’t hold credence. The festival already released their own statement on this, but the city council has yet to respond.
For their second phase, they booked the likes of Kygo, Tchami, Boys Noize, and more. They also included a B2B performance with Malaa and DJ Snake. Previously, before unveiling the full lineup, they already announced that Kygo and Madeon will make their comebacks this 2020. Both haven’t appeared at the festival for years now. Kygo hadn’t played at Ultra Music Festival since 2016 when Martin Garrix invited him for a surprise set. And it’s even longer for Madeon. The French DJ hadn’t headlined the event since 2013. Now, he will make his grand comeback seven years after.

Apart from both Kygo and Madeon, DJ Snake will likely incite a lot of excitement. Just last year, he released his second studio album, “Carte Blanche,” which got fans raving. An amalgamation of collaborations, he worked with the likes of Cardi B, Anitta, Sean Paul, Selena Gomez and more for this release. So this means he has a lot of material to share at the Ultra Music Festival. Though it’s unlikely these mainstream superstars will join him onstage, his works with them will surely dominate his B2B set. As the festival announced his slot, he then tweeted, “I’m playing 2 sets this year @ULTRA Miami. Can’t wait,”.
Not one to be left out, DJ Snake’s B2B partner Malaa, also has new music, sort of. He began 2020 with a new remix of his 2018 track, “Bling Bling”. Incorporating a deep bass and an even thicker bassline, he took a darker turn in recrafting his track. And now that he’s booked for Ultra Miami, he’ll likely include this track in his set too. Similarly to DJ Snake, he also went on Twitter to confirm his participation. “Something Special for @ultra 2020 !! Back 2 Back with my brother @djsnake ⚠️⚠️⚠️” he posted. He even included a teaser video of the festival that featured his name. Don’t miss the Ultra Music Festival at Bayfront Park in Miami, Florida. The event will happen from March 20 to 22, 2020.
