Another day, another reason to get more excited about this year’s Ultra Music Festival! Just recently, the festival’s Twitter account revealed that Martin Garrix and his label, STMPD RCRDS, will take over the UMF Radio Stage again. They did it already back in 2019, and now, they plan to party with fans again this year.  “@MartinGarrix’s label, @stmpdrcrds is back to host the @UMFRadio Stage only at #Ultra2020 this March!” tweeted Ultra Music Festival. They even added a teaser clip featuring footage from last year’s event on the tweet to further increase the hype around it. Though the festival has officially announced the label takeover, they have yet to announce the lineup for this special stage. Last year saw a number of exciting DJs play for fans on that stage. Julian Jordan played B2B with Brooks while, subsequently, Dubvision also played B2B with Raiden. The rest of that lineup included Justin Mylo, Cazztek and Van Duo, among many others.

Though unconfirmed, it’s highly likely the STMP RCRDS takeover will happen during Phase 2 of the festival. Another DJ and his label are also set to take over the UMF Radio Stage during Phase 1—Hardwell and Revealed Recordings. Last month, the festival’s Twitter account also revealed that Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings will dominate the said stage. They also included them in the official lineup that they released even prior to that tweet. So with this new announcement regarding Martin Garrix’s label, it’s safe to assume that Revealed Recordings will take over during Phase 1 of the festival. And subsequently, STMP RCRDS will have their day during Phase 2.  Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time the festival created confusion regarding two DJs and one stage. Late last year, the festival announced that Carl Cox‘s Resistance Miami will take over the Megastructure stage. This confused fans since Armin van Buuren‘s A State of Trance always dominated that stage. Fortunately, the festival reassured fans that A State Of Trance will still return for the 2020 edition. However, they have yet to reveal what stage they’ll take over. Most likely, Resistance Miami will take over the Megastructure stage during Phase 1 while A State Of Trance will head it by Phase 2.

For now, it seems that all preparations are underway. Still, fans are hoping that the organizers have made sure the festival won’t see any problems this year. Throughout last year, Ultra faced various challenged regarding the venue for its 2020 edition. Due to conflicts with the city of Miami, they had to hold their 2019 festival on Virginia Key instead of their usual home at Bayfront Park. But months after, they reached an agreement with the city council to return the festival back to Miami just in time for 2020. However, there have been reports that organizers have yet to fulfill their side of the agreement just months prior to the 2020 edition.  The Ultra Music Festival will happen from March 20 to 22, 2020. This year, they return to Bayfront Park in Miami, Florida. Stay tuned on this space for more updates!
