Renaissance is going to Zamna Tulum, Mexico and they’re bringing along a whole host of A-list DJs! The iconic British festival lands in the Central American nation for their first event in the country. And just recently, they revealed their exciting lineup for Renaissance Tumul debut edition. They include the likes of Adam Beyer, Ida Engberg, and more!  Ultimately, the festival will be one of the first Renaissance editions on this side of the world. Known for its smaller scale and better rave atmosphere than a lot of events, this festival seeks to offer a new and more exotic vibe. And this rings true even with this lineup alone. Two of its mega headliners, Adam Beyer and Ida Enberg, will play B2B each other in this edition. German producer Roman Flügel and Belgian superstar Charlotte de Witte will also take over the DJ’s booth here. Meanwhile, Danny Tenaglia plans to play B2B Nicole Moudaber on the other stages in the festival.

Notably, Renaissance Tulum will reunite husband-and-wife duo Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg on the same stage. Their love story has long served as one of the most romantic and most inspirational in the EDM scene. And now that they’ve formed a family of their own, attendees are likely to enjoy partying with them, especially B2B. Even more so that Beyer recently proved just how well he can lead a party. Last October, he and his label Drumcode took over London’s Tobacco Dock to hold a Halloween party. The rave became so successful that the Swedish DJ eventually released his set at the time online. (To listen to it, click here!).  Charlotte de Witte, on the other hand, has a lot to offer in her upcoming gigs. Just this month she released two new EPs, “Selected,” and “Pressure,”. And these two could sound farther apart. Critics and experts have noted that “Selected” takes a rather acidic approach to EDM, full of distinct synths, screeching melodies, and wild rhythms. In contrast, “Pressure” offers up more rave-ready tracks with throbbing beats and stronger drops. This EP touches on de Witte’s expertise on mixing party music but putting her own signature sounds on them. And for a jungle party like Renaissance Tulum, such an approach might prove to be successful!

However, fans are hoping the Belgian DJ will feel well enough to actually play at the said festival. Just last weekend, de Witte cancelled her Glasgow gig at the last minute due to health reasons. Her actions angered fans, leading her to issue an apology on social media and to provide an explanation for the decision. “Due to health circumstances, I won’t be able to perform tonight at SWG3. I’m absolutely gutted that I can’t be with you tonight. I’d been looking forward to this show so much! My representatives and SWG3 found a new date on 28th February 2020. It would mean the world to me to see you then. I sincerely apologize for letting you down tonight.” she posted.  Renaissance Tulum Festival 2020 will take place in Mexico’s Zamna Tulum on January 4, 2020. Stay tuned on this space for more updates.
