Nicki Minaj sounds stronger than ever in her upcoming collaborative single with Colombian singer Karol G. The rapper, whose fans presumed retired because of a previous tweet, teased her next featured track, “Tusa,” on Instagram. On it, she flexes her surprisingly good mastery of the Spanish language. And it looks like another pink-filled music video from ‘Barbz’ herself.

The teaser starts with zoom-in shots of sculptures in what looks like a grand courtyard. It then presents a shot of Karol G surrounded by dancers, all in dramatic poses. The reggaeton diva sports long silver wavy hair and a light pink sequinned ensemble. The dancers surrounding her wear similarly neutral outfits with silver brass bracelets. Judging by their poses, and the overall theme, it looks the video will feature a lot of vogueing. As for Minaj, she dons a sexy yet sophisticated white dress and an extremely high ponytail hairstyle. She spits some Spanish rhymes on the voice-over as the teaser comes to a close.

“TONIGHT 9PM EST‼️‼️‼️‼️ #TUSA @karolg 😍😍😍‼️‼️‼️‼️🥳🥰😍🥰😍😛😛😛💋” Minaj captioned her Instagram with. This new venture into reggaeton serves as the third featured single the rapper will drop since publicly playing with the notion of retiring from the industry. The first two were PnB Rock‘s “Fendi” and DaBaby‘s “iPhone”. Barbz fans got the shock of their lives when the rapper inexplicably tweeted that she will retire to focus on marriage and family. But since then, even when she did get married to her longtime beau, Kenneth Petty, Minaj has stayed active in terms of working on new music. However, it should be noted that these singles are not from her.  “It was really about the fifth album. Where do I stand with it now? I didn’t know my fans would act like that with the tweet. It hurt my feelings because I feel like the way I did it was maybe insensitive to my fans. But I didn’t think people were going to take it—I didn’t know it was going to be that big of a deal, so that’s why I deleted it.” the rapper explained about her ‘retirement’ tweet. For now, she has yet to reveal any more details about her upcoming new album. Only that she might still be working on it.

Meanwhile, Karol G has been having a great year this 2019. While Minaj might be one of the first American artists she has collaborated with, the Colombian singer has worked with a lot of Latin superstars. One of her more recent featured singles, in fact, included some of the biggest names of reggaeton. Anuel AA, her now-fiancee, release “China” which featured her but also the likes of Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, and J Balvin. Sampling Shaggy‘s early 2000s hit, “It Wasn’t Me,” the single has singe topped charts in different countries around the world. Most prominently, it topped Billboard‘s Hot Latin Songs chart.  Karol G and Nicki Minaj will release the music video for “Tusa,” later today or early tomorrow morning. Stay tuned on this space to watch the glitzy music video!
