Now, no one can say that Diplo can’t do everything. One of the most illustrious DJs today, he just got a new gig and it’s a big one. Diplo will curate the music for NFL‘s Monday Night Football. For the rest of the 2019 season, the premier producer will choose the tracks that will play during the league’s TV spots every Monday night.    In fact, Diplo has already picked a song for an upcoming game between Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers. For that event, he chose Konata Small‘s “Ruckus”. “This is the point in the season where it starts to get really exciting – dumb luck has ended and the true contenders are really being revealed. It’s a part of the season that tests not just the teams, but their fans as well – I feel like the energy of “Ruckus” is a perfect match for where these two teams are right now.” he explained as to why he chose such a track.

He also highlighted that the song “the emotion of this high-stakes division clash between these bitter NFC West rivals, in which fans can expect that Russell Wilson will look to continue his MVP season and lead the Seahawks to victory against Jimmy Garoppolo and the undefeated 49ers,”. Just by explanations, it’s obvious that Diplo seeks to take this new responsibility seriously. Despite his playful personality, he has always been quite serious when it comes to music. And with his job on curating Monday Night Football music, it looks like he will do the job carefully and pick songs appropriate for the matches.  Diplo has outwardly been a fan of the league for quite some time now. He’s notorious for being a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles fans and has often watched their games. Just last year, fans spotted the DJ watching the Super Bowl, where his favorite team actually won the championships at the time. But he has attended other leagues’ games as well. Just recently, Diplo also watched an NBA game between the Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves. He attended that game with Meek Mill and he even shot t-shirts through a cannon for the fans present.

Ultimately, Diplo’s new gig just further proves just how diverse the DJ wants his career to look like. Having already ventured into EDM, hip hop, reggaeton, and more, as well as starting his own festivals and even going for a modeling stint. Just recently, he has started going into Country music with his new tracks under a new alter-ego: Diplo Presents: Thomas Wesley. They include “Heartless” featuring Morgan Allen and “So Long” with Cam. This new venture has even influenced the EDM producer’s style. In his most recent appearances, from music videos to red carpets, Diplo usually went for a cowboy-like look. Stay tuned every Monday night during NFL’s playoffs to find out Diplo’s track choices.
