Nicki Minaj may have started trouble with a former rival again. In her most recent interview, the rapper seemingly threw shade at Cardi B. Fans can’t help but feel that Barbz’s recent comments targeted the “Press” rapper. Cardi B, in turn, has already responded and based on what she tweeted, it’s about to get rough! It all started at Barbz’s Queen radio episode last Friday, August 12, 2019. For her anniversary episode, she invited podcast host Joe Budden on and things heated up. Budden accused the “Megatron” rapper of hyping up her singles with fake relationships, to which Minaj berated him and cut his mic off for the remainder of the broadcast.

Not content with what she did, however, she went on to Budden’s own show recently to set the record straight.  “I am going to tell the real deal. I always have receipts to prove what I’m gonna say. Always, and that will never change. My point is there were a lot of people who I never said anything bad about who I thought I was cool with that jumped on the hate train. When you say a thing like, ‘We’re passed it.’ Yes, I’m passed it. Praise be to God.” she shared. The rapper also relayed that she earned her fame through her own talent alone. “I still had to go through these things because of people like you who made a sport out of tearing down a young, black woman who’s done nothing but come in this game with an authentic come-up, writing raps, and doing what the fuckin’ was really necessary. No Instagram, no reality shows, no sucking DJs’ dicks.” she insisted.

Ultimately, her remark about Ebro Darden‘s list of the top 50 rappers of all time was what many think was shade towards Cardi B. “I would feel so fucking crazy if I had No. 1s and Grammys and ain’t on nobody’s top 50 list,” she said. The radio personality recently listed down who he thought were the best hip hop artists. He ranked Minaj 33rd on his list amidst other industry greats like Jay-Z, Meek Mill, Common, and more. Cardi B, on the other hand, was noticeably absent, even though the latter recently won the Grammy for Best Rap Album for “Invasion of Privacy”.

True to form, Cardi B retaliated with a fiery response of her own. She tweeted, “One year and some change later and my album is still SELLING. Only list I give a fuck about. 💁🏽‍♀️💁🏽‍♀️💁🏽‍♀️💁🏽‍♀️Have s beautiful day everybody 😘😘😘,”. The rapper accompanied her tweet with a United World Chart of the current Worldwide Equivalent Album Sales Update which showed that her last record is still going strong. Furthermore, she also went on Instagram live to reiterate that she’s never done anything sketchy nor sexual to get to where she is now. This was a response to another possible and subtler dig at her by Barbz.
