It’s always great to see celebrities fawn over their own idols. And Adele did just that over the weekend with her favorite girl group, The Spice Girls. The songstress went to the group’s final leg of their 2019 reunion “Spice World” tour at London’s Wembley Stadium last June 15, 2019.

She chronicled her experience on an Instagram post. From making her way to the stadium to living it up during the concert, the multi-Grammy Award-winning singer was full-on fangirling. Here, she explained that she’s always been a fan of the 90s pop phenomenon and that this was the first time since 1998 that she saw them perform live. “Oiii last time I saw the Spice Girls at Wembley was 21 years ago! Tonight with my nearest and dearest I cried, laughed, screamed, danced, reminisced and fell back in love with my 10-year-old self.” said the caption. The girls reciprocated the love by doing a surprise cover of the singer’s biggest hit, “Someone Like You.”

Throughout her career, Adele has been vocal about a lot of things, including her love for the Spice Girls. She first shared this in an interview for CBS’s ’60 Minutes’ with Anderson Cooper. In it, she relayed that when she was younger, she’d put on little Spice Girls concerts for her family. It was then when she decided to train herself on how to sing. She also sang the group’s most iconic song, “Wannabe,” with James Corden in his famous Carpool Karaoke segment. “It was a huge moment in my life when they came out. It was girl power.” she shared to the “Late Late Show” host.

For now, The Spice Girls seem to be taking a break after their 2019 reunion tour. Despite the controversial start, they ended the run on a great note—selling out three days at Wembley Stadium, Britain’s biggest stadium. And at least, Adele would agree they hit it out of the park!
