Louis Vuitton just announced Virgil Abloh’s “FIGURES OF SPEECH” exhibition at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art will include an exclusive pop-up featuring a limited-edition capsule collection. From sneakers and caps to bags and belts, all of the items here evoke a strong orange hue. In fact, Abloh, the label’s menswear creative director, already previewed the kicks back in May on his Instagram page.
The streetwear pioneer designer splattered the bright tangerine tone all over his latest array of goods. They include “Millionaire” sunglasses, a chain-belt, and softer streetwise versions of the Vuitton’s famous trunk bags. Though the selection only contains less than ten pieces, most items feature the famous monogram pattern. They’re also made out of premium leather, some with hints of soft suede. See the collection in the gallery below.
Since taking over their menswear helm back in late 2018, strong colors such as this one have been part of Abloh’s trademarks for the luxury brand. Apart from his upcoming exhibition, he’ll present his Spring 2020 menswear collection for Louis Vuitton later this June at Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
In the meantime, Virgil Abloh’s “FIGURES OF SPEECH” exhibition will run from June 10, 2019, to September 22, 2019. It’s held at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art and you can pre-order tickets by clicking here.
