Lady Gaga’s iconic wardrobe gets a new home at Viva Las Vegas! Her “Haus of Gaga” mini-museum opens on May 30, 2019. The opening coincides with the first day of the second leg of her “Enigma” residency. Here, fans get to see most of her outrageous outfits in person, including the infamous 2010 VMA’s meat-dress.“It’s a space where you can experience all of Gaga and it’s been her dream for all her outfits to stay in one place,” shared Nicola Formichetti, curator of the exhibition. “We have about 20 outfits, over 40 wigs, and accessories and shoes, everything!” The longtime collaborator of Gaga’s has worked with her since 2010 when he was the creative director of the Mugler brand. Formichetti took charge of encasing most of Lady Gaga’s show-stopping pieces in glass boxes, allowing visitors to have full overviews of the pieces.
Some of them include the black velvet custom Versace dress she wore when she won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries in 2016. A custom-made headpiece from her “Telephone” music video with Beyonce. And a disco ball-like bodysuit from her “Fame Monster” days.
With no admission fee, fans are instead encouraged to donate to Gaga’s nonprofit, the Born This Way Foundation. It touches on the mental wellness and empowerment of the youth. Furthermore, an exclusive line of merchandises is also available at the museum. The exhibition, officially named ‘Haus of Gaga/Las Vegas,’ permanently stands adjacent to the Park Theater at Park MGM, where the singer currently stays during her residency. It’s open from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm daily.
