Ladies—and a few gents!—your dreams of wearing Giambattista Valli will finally come true. At the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, the Italian-born grand couturier announced that he is this year’s designer collaborator with fast fashion behemoth H&M. He’ll bring his haute brand of frothiness and frills to select H&M stores around the world at more affordable prices. And what better way to debut such a line than with the likes of Kendall Jenner and H.E.R.?
At the annual Cannes amfAR Gala, one of the most glamorous events of the year, Kendall Jenner, H.E.R. and flurry of other well-known stars donned the first few pieces from the upcoming capsule collection. Jenner sported a hot pink tulle mini with a mile-long detachable train looking picture perfect as ever! Meanwhile, the very beautiful H.E.R. wore a more modest but equally stunning floral-embroidered white dress in a more traditional ballgown silhouette. The collaboration will also be Valli’s first venture into menswear, introducing a line of tailored suits and a handful of streetwise separates. In this regard, singer and actor Ross Lynch looked particularly dashing in a dotted charcoal suit. His look and all the other pieces like the ones worn by Italian influencer Chiara Ferragni (in a delicate white lace dress) and Chinese superstar Chris Lee (in a frilly pleated blush pink frock) will be available online on May 25, 2019.
